Now that you've learned what it takes to make a successful Dragonball Z site, you're probably itching to make one if you haven't already. But where should you start? Not to worry, this primer should solve your problems. Below is every step that should be followed to create a excellent running DB site, and by following them correctly success should be on your side, respectively. Pay heed though, that doesn't mean you're going to get alot of hits or visitors! I simply mean that if you follow the steps below, there's a good chance the majority of your visitors will enjoy their stay. Welp, happy reading.
Step 1.Pick an idea
Before you do anything, you have to come up with an idea for a DB site. Remember what I said in the earlier primer? Try to make it as original as possible, but also think about something DB-related that you like, know alot about, or are good at. Sorry, but these primers(especially this one) can't help the common webmaster who insists on making just another plain ol' DBZ site with the same info and/or pictures you can find anywhere else. Anyway, once you've figured that out, move on to the next step.
Step 2.Plan your site
This step is optional, but is somewhat recommended by me. Before you even work on your site, it's a good idea to plan it out. Get a piece of scrap paper and a pen, and just plot out your ideas on how your layout will be. Also, try to write down what kind of sections you'll have, and where images would appear at. This will aid you when actually making the site comes about, and will save you alot of time trying to think up where everything will be while you're working on it.
Step 3.Get what you need
Of course, you're probably going to need some images or whatnot for your page. Odds are you won't be able to just work on a site without any images or graphics whatsoever. Go out and get whatever you need, and if graphics are needed you can check out the various free graphics sections here for ones I've created myself you can use(duh). Once you've got what you need, move on to the next step.
Step 4.Find a hostee
Now that you've got an idea, a rough draft for your page, and whatever other stuff you need, it's time to actually begin your site. But in order to do this, you must find a site to host your page. Odds are, you'll want to use a freebie. For a list of some of the best host sites, click here. If you're planning on getting hosted somewhere else that isn't free or easy to use....well, then I don't know what to tell you. My guess is if you're looking for that, you know what you're doing. Anywho, after you've found where you want to get hosted, sign up for an account or whatever is needed to be done to get to working, and you're ready.
Step 5.Begin working
Welp, that's it. Get to work now! Use whatever you want to work on your page, whether it be raw HTML or a page builder of some sort, and have fun.
Thus concludes Primer #2.Still need help? There's one more Tutorial to go, so head onward if thee are ready!
